Donation via cash from Doreen and Ian Scales - Doreen was just 15 years old when she met Gwen, her mother made friends with Gwen at the Livingstone Hospital, Dartford whilst they were recovering from surgeries, she writes about them making mischief and keeping the staff on their toes. They kept in touch for many years, and Doreen recalls Sunday tea's with Gwen and Derek in the Swanley house.

My darling Nana, I have so many lovely memories with you not only from when I was a child, but from the past 5 years we had lots of adventures to include the Shard and many garden centre visits. I will miss you every day and only wish I could cuddle you one more time. All my love, forever xxx
